Miyazaki is regarded as the birthplace of Japanese mythology. This set of twelve small figurines represents revered deities from the region’s folklore, including Okuninushi (god of prosperity and agriculture), Ame-no-Uzume (shaman goddess), Tajikarao  (god of strength), and Sarutahiko (protector of travelers), among others.
