The plate is decorated with a paradise flycatcher and peonies. Paradise flycatchers are famous for their two long tail feathers, which symbolize longevity. Peonies, on the other hand, symbolize union, wealth, and good fortune. The ceramic plate was gifted by the Mayor of Kaga during the pandemic as a show of support and friendship when face-to-face exchange was not possible.
