This plush toy represents Mirairinzou, the official mascot of Tsukubamirai City. A child of the Eurasian skylark, Mirairinzou embodies hope and a bright future. Inspired by the explorer Rinzo Mamiya, who hailed from Tsukubamirai, the mascot is said to have traveled from the future to the present day. It was selected as the city's official mascot through a nationwide vote during the 10th anniversary of the city's incorporation. The miniature structure on its head is modeled after the three-story pagoda of the famed Itabashi Fudoson Temple, symbolizing the city’s rich cultural and historical heritage.
