Izu is the largest city on the Ito Peninsula, and it is almost entirely built on mountainous terrain. The Izukyu line is a private line that runs through several scenic spots, including Kinomiya Shrine, Inatori Onsen, and Jogasaki Coast. Some sections run along the mountainside, overlooking the seas at 100 meters above sea level. During clear days, the train attendant sometimes introduces some of the landmarks between Katase-Shirata Station and Izu-Inatori Station. The picture is a board of commemorative badges depicting the different train models that run on the Izukyu line.
