The Okinawa International Asia Music Festival is a musical event jointly hosted by Japan and Taiwan and held in downtown Naha. A highlight of the event is the fusion of western and eastern instruments, including wind ensembles, electric guitars, and erhus, symbolizing the eastern and western influences of Okinawa. Several Taiwanese bands perform at the event each year, validating the closeness between the two countries and showing that music has no borders.
