Although Kagawa is the smallest prefecture in Japan, it has quite a reputation. Ritsurin Garden is one of the most renowned gardens in Japan, achieving 3 stars by Michelin’s green guide. Other attractions include Yayoi Kusama’s Yellow Pumpkin in Naoshima; Konpira Shrine, Japan’s most challenging shrine Konpira Shrine; Shodo Island, the birthplace of Japanese olives; and Setouchi Triennale, attracting millions of visitors to Kagawa every three years.
