Japan has many ancient tombs dated between the 3rd and 7th centuries. There is a group of ancient tombs in Shibayama-cho, Chiba Prefecture, near Narita Airport. Many Haniwa figurines were uncovered in these tombs. They are sometimes seen as the Japanese version of the Terracotta Warriors in China. The Haniwa figurines unearthed from the Shibayama Kofun Cluster have vivid expressions, leaving a solid impression. Haniwa decor can be seen all around Shibayama Station. Locals also organize a Haniwa Festival every year in which residents roam the streets in ancient outfits. For visitors, it's like traveling back in time. This Haniwa holds an instrument rarely seen among artifacts unearthed in the Chiba Prefecture, making it a unique gift.
