Preface

Sports are an indispensable part of people's lives, and the lively atmosphere of professional sporting events often garners nationwide attention. Many professional teams are adorned with the names of the city they represent. Team jerseys not only represent fans' support and identity but also symbolize the pride of the city. As a symbol of support, fans who don their team's jersey forge a closer connection with their team, becoming a force to be reckoned with. The exchange of jerseys among players embodies sportsmanship and friendship, and allied cities often express goodwill through the gift of jerseys. Jerseys have also become an important medium for the promotion of urban culture, serving as the starting point for introducing more people to the distinctive features and charm of a city.

Chiba Lotte Marines Jersey

The Chiba Lotte Marines, a member of Japan's Pacific League, is a five-time winner of the Pacific League pennant and a four-time champion of the Japan Series. Their home stadium is the Chiba Marine Stadium. Taiwanese baseball player Chen Wei-Yin played for the Lotte Marines in 2020. Historically, Lotte Marines' jerseys have predominantly featured a base color of either white or grey, complemented by other distinctive hues. However, the team adopted a base color of marine blue in 2015, drawing from the inspiration of Chiba's Makuhari Seaside to showcase the vibrant energy of the team's many young players. The change in color palette not only resonates with the name of the team but also lures the team with wave-like energy.

The Orix Buffaloes, originating as the Hankyu Braves in 1936, later merged with the Kintetsu Buffaloes in 2004, becoming the present-day Orix Buffaloes. The jersey in the picture is a special edition from the Bs Summer Game 2017. The Summer Game originated in 2009, drawing inspiration from the Warring States period. The vibrant colors of the jersey symbolize the flames of war, turning stadiums into a sea of crimson as fans cheer on exuberant players. After many design iterations, the 2017 jersey once again featured red as the base color, complemented with other shades of red to create a camouflage pattern, accentuating the spirit of battle and conveying an unstoppable force.

As one of the founding teams, the Lotte Giants hold the distinction of being the oldest team in the history of the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) League, which celebrated its 48th anniversary in 2023. Within the KBO League, the Lotte Giants boast the most diverse range of jerseys, and their innovative and unique designs continually capture the attention of fans. This adjustment harkened back to the team's initial design to convey its founding values.

The Daegu Samsung Lions was established on February 3, 1982, as one of the founding teams of the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) League. It has since made many appearances in the KBO League championships. Since 1983, blue has been the primary color of Lions jerseys. A tradition that continues to this day. With the relocation of the team to the then-newly constructed Daegu Samsung Lions Park in 2016, the team's jersey was redesigned. The classic striped pattern was reimagined into a refreshed design centered around text, paying homage to the national flag of the Republic of Korea.
