The Lotte Giants are one of the KBO League’s founding teams. The team was established in 1982. Its ballpark is Busan Sajik Baseball Stadium. The Lotte Giants are famous for their singing and dancing “support culture,” and the melodies of its fight songs are extremely catchy. Another unique feature of the team is that fans wear orange plastic bags on their heads to rally the team. The Lotte Giants are one of the KBO League teams with the most interaction with Taiwan. They often hold their spring training in Taiwan, and also organize games with Chinese Professional Baseball League teams. Taiwan has a good climate and is geographically close to South Korea. As exchanges continue and deepen, Taiwan may be able to construct a “spring training economy” like Okinawa.
