Toyo-Sasaki Glass was founded following the merger between the Houseware Division of Toyo Glass and Sasaki Glass, two of Japan's oldest and largest glassware manufacturing companies. It is currently the largest producer and retailer of glass products in Japan. The Yachiyo-kiriko cup is the company's flagship product. As the name suggests, Yachiyo-kiriko derives from the Yachiyo area of Chiba Prefecture. Kiriko refers to a cold processing technique. Artisans use metal grinders or grindstones to hand-polish their glass pieces to create a unique glass aesthetic. This cup is from the company's Yachiyo-kiriko collection. It is perfect for special occasions, such as the New Year.
