The coin is engraved with Saint Peter and Saint Paul's Cathedral, and the word "PETROV" below refers to the hill on which the cathedral stands. The cathedral overlooks the entire city of Brno. It is unique in that church bells are rung every morning at 11 am. During the Thirty Years' War in the 17th century, the Swedish army besieged Brno several times but could not capture it. They decided to withdraw their troops if they couldn't capture the city by noon on the last day. The citizens of Brno hatched a clever plan to ring the noon bells at 11 am. Thinking it was already noon, the Swedish army retreated in disappointment early, allowing Brno to win a bloodless victory.
