The Saint Peter and Saint Paul Cathedral embossed on the keyring is recognized as a national cultural monument by the Czech government. The cathedral is even engraved on the 10-Koruna coin. Despite having a cathedral as the national symbol, the Czech Republic actually has the lowest proportion of religious believers in Europe, with only 20% of the population having a religious affiliation. The secularization of Czech society can be attributed to the push for multi-confessionalism during the Habsburg dynasty and the struggle for independence, and the atheistic indoctrination of the Soviet era in the 19th century.
