Updated at 2022-03-23

Japanese table sets are exquisite. Tables are decorated with a variety of plates and bowls. Sizes and colors are combined to fit the season or ingredients being served. Porcelain and ceramics developed very early in Japan. Although the techniques were inherited from the Song Dynasty, Japan popularized the craft. Gradually, ceramics have evolved to fit the modern household. Ceramic tableware is now used to elevate the quality and mood of the dinner table and remains extremely popular among young people. The gift is a pair of blue  porcelain bowls made in Japan.
