This celadon matcha tea bowl, titled Crackle Glazed Matcha Tea Bowl (氷裂貫入青瓷抹茶茶碗), was created by ceramic artist Hiroshi ONODERA of Tsukubamirai. Its defining feature is the delicate crackle pattern across the celadon glaze, resembling the fractured surface of ice. Compared to ordinary ceramics, the glaze layer is thicker and requires a longer firing process to achieve the desired effect. The production is technically demanding, with a relatively low success rate, which further enhances its rarity and artistic value.
