Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands and it is full of big and small museums. The most popular one is definitely the Van Gogh Museum, located on Museum Square. Vincent van Gogh was a post-Impressionism painter and one of the most famous Dutch painters. His well-known paintings include “Starry Night,” “Sunflowers,” and “Wheatfield with Crows.” Van Gogh struggled with depression and poverty throughout his life, but posthumously rose to fame. Many of his works have sold for US$100 million or more. Hailing from the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, this dark blue silk necktie draws inspiration from “Wheatfield with Crows,” one of Van Gogh’s most famous paintings.
