In 2014, the San Bernardino County government introduced a new coat of arms. The new design continued using of the arrowhead, which represents the famous 1,375-long and 449-foot wide Arrowhead landmark in the county. Legend has it that the early native people created the arrowhead to mark the location of a mountain hot spring. In actually, however, the arrowhead is a natural phenomenon.
